Based on a masterpiece novel of the same title by an Akutagawa Award winning and Oe Award winning novelist, Nagashima Yu. Adapted by Nakamura Yoshihiro of The Foreign Duck, the Native Duck and God in a Coin Locker and The Glorious Team Batista. Starring Sakai Masato, a strong actor who has been appearing in a series of films, including Climber's High. The father is played by Ayukawa Makoto, the guitarist of a rock band Sheena & The Rokkets, which has celebrated its 30th anniversary.
A 32-year-old son (Sakai Masato) quits his job, and is persuaded by his photographer father (Ayukawa Makoto) to go with him and his Siberian Husky dog, Milo, to a cottage in the mountains in Kita-Karuizawa. The area has no mobile phone signal, it is bug ridden, and their neighbor keeps giving them nothing but tomatoes, however, it is wonderfully cool and almost chilly in the height of summer. The two pull out old tracksuits, which the grandmother had gathered, to wear. Father's friend comes for a visit and it seems all three men are having problems with their wives. One year later, the father and son go to the mountain cottage again. Despite difficulties in their real lives, the two slip into their tracksuits and for a while spend some slow time together in the middle of summer.
