[ Story ]

A modern day sensual film adaptation of Tanizaki Junichiro's classic 'Shisei' (*The Tattooer). Previously involved in numerous NHK TV documentaries, Mishima Yukiko makes her directing debut with this feature film. University student Hazuki (Imura Kumi), feels inferior to her older, more talented sister Yoko (Sato Tamao). Her only solace is a Klimt postcard and doll from an unknown sender. Yoko brings together tattoo artist Togo (Suzuki Kazuma) and Hazuki when she finds he is the sender of those precious items. The ink laid by Togo's hand transforms Hazuki from a shy girl into an alluring adult woman.
