[ Story ]
Nakamura Yoshihiro, acclaimed for humanistic dramas like The Foreign Duck, the Native Duck and God in a Coin Locker and Chips, directs this film adaptation of Kubodera Takehiko's novel by the same name. Coming-of-age story starring Hamada Gaku, a regular in Nakamura's films, depicting the life of protagonist Satoru, who resides in one of the housing developments that symbolize the Showa era.
Watarai Satoru was born in raised in a housing development. Upon completing elementary school, Satoru declares that he will live only within the development, and he goes on to grow up with his classmates, making friends, experiencing his first love, and finding a job within the development complex.
