TOKYO KOEN director Aoyama Shinji helms this adaptation of Tanaka Shinya's 146th Akutagawa Prize-winning novel. Its screenplay is by Arai Haruhiko, an industry veteran who has received numerous accolades for his works such as VIBRATOR. Winner of two awards at the International Film Festival Locarno 2013.
Toma (Suda Masaki), a high schooler in Shimonoseki in Yamaguchi Prefecture, detests the violent sexual tendencies that his father (Mitsuishi Ken) inflicts on his girlfriend Kotoko (Shinohara Yukiko). However, a random incident leads him to realize that he has the same blood flowing in his veins.
