A feature-length documentary comprised of two sections and five chapters, featuring footage shot over the three years following the Great East Japan Earthquake. It presents a raw depiction of disaster victims as they struggle to make ends meet with pain and sadness in their hearts. An official selection of the 2013 Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival.
Iitate Village in Fukushima Prefecture was contaminated with intense radiation, but its residents were not informed of the situation regarding the nuclear accident. Eventually, a decision was made to evacuate the entire village, and dairy farmers abandoned their cowsheds and went their separate ways. As they struggled to deal with the enormity of what they had lost, they received word regarding a certain person's death.
