[ Story ]

The 9th theatrical version of the popular animation series, 'Pokemon'. The main character, a boy named Satoshi, continues his journey to become the world best Pokemon master. The film portrays the friendship and adventures he goes through with his Pokemon partner, Pikachu, and friends, directed by Yuyama Kunihiko.
Satoshi, Pikachu and his friends stray into a barren land where they meet the Marinas. They are the descendents of a race called "the people of the water". They have a legend: "There is a sacred temple called Eureka somewhere in the ocean, with a hidden treasure, called the 'Sea Crown'". A Pokemon Ranger, Jackie, is on a secret mission to protect the egg of a Pokemon Manaphy which holds the key to the legendary temple of Eureka. Satoshi and his friends decide to help Jackie, but they come under attack from pirates who are seeking the treasure. Satoshi and his friends fight the pirates to protect Manaphy. Finally, they reach Eureka and discover the legendary treasure.
