Directorial debut by Saitani Ryo, who runs the movie theater Laputa Asagaya. Fantastic tale about the adventures of a girl living Tokyo's Asagaya district and seven eccentric deities in the aftermath of the Great East Japan Earthquake. Newcomer Shirahase Kaira gives her debut film performance. Seventeen-year-old Mimi (Shirahase), a stellar student who doesn't click with her classmates, meets the God of Thunder Ra-san (Nagamori Masato) and his pals. After that, she sets off with the gods to find the pet myna that escaped from her grandmother, and that search turns into an adventure dealing with radioactivity and cesium hotspots.
