Documentary about three children dealing with chronic illnesses and their supportive families. These families living with illness shed light on the joy of living and the nature of true happiness. The Shiokawa family's eldest son has had half of his face and his left eye removed because of a malignant tumor; the Shito family's only daughter has a degenerative disease; and the Yomeda family learned upon the birth of their second daughter that she had a short life expectancy. The film warmly depicts these three families dealing with life and living to their fullest each day.
