Drama about the friendship between two men in their 60s and the people in their lives, directed by Fukuma Kenji, whose many films about women include My Dear Daughter of Okayama.
Editor Miyamoto Mamoru (Ito Yozaburo) is friends with author Muraoka Masao (Sano Kazuhiro), who has failed to follow up on his magnum opus "Aki no riyu" and has lost his voice due to stress. Miyamoto believes in Muraoka's talent and hopes for his next book, but at the same time, he is attracted to Muraoka's wife Misaki (Terajima Shinobu).
