[ Story ]

Satake Shoji had been a trapeze artist in the Ezaki Circus, but when Shingo, his team mate, slipped and fell to his death, he had felt responsible and, sick at heart, left the circus for a life at sea.
On land again Shoji goes to a cabaret where he is soon involved in a brawl.
Kasamatsu, the owner of the cabaret, impressed by Shoji's strength, offers him a job as his bodyguard. The next morning Shoji visits Shingo's grave and meets Miyako, Shingo's former sweetheart, who is still a trapeze performer and now the star of the Kuroko Circus which Shoji realizes Kasamatsu intends to control.
Shoji camps with the circus people and tries to assist the performers. But Tsugawa, who performs with Miyako, has an accident, and their trapeze act is crippled.
Ishida, who claims to be a trapeze performer, is hired, but Shoji feels he is connected with Kasamatsu.
Ishida is rough and slipshod and one day he let Miyako fall into the net. Shoji demands a showdown on the trapeze but a mysterious fire breaks out and the circus is soon in ashes.
He becomes a trapeze performer again. One day, a foreign promoter, offers a contract for the circus to perform abroad if it can meet his requirements.
He wants a triple somersault from a swing hanging from a helicopter which they perform and win the contract. A time bomb had been planted in the helicopter by Kasamatsu's men, but Shoji had taken care of this just before the take off.
Tsugawa, the aerial artist, has now recovered and Shoji, with his monkey on his shoulder, goes back to his ship.
