Documentary from Okubo Yui, who came out with Tsuchioto in 2011, focusing on his hometown of Otsuchi in Iwate Prefecture, which was devastated by the tsunami in the Great East Japan Earthquake. Screenings include the Cinema With Us program at the Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival in 2015.
Otsuchi Town was transformed beyond recognition in the aftermath of the tsunami and earthquake. The former site of the town is being buried under dirt as part of a public works project to elevate the land. Okubo was born and raised in Otsuchi, and through this film he aims to share with his niece the scenery and memories that will be obliterated by the time she grows up.
