The sequel to the live-action adaptation based on Ishida Sui's popular dark fantasy comic. Set in Tokyo where man-eating creatures called Ghouls lurk, the film depicts the struggles of a half-human and half-ghoul university student.
Half-ghoul Kaneki (Kubota Masataka) is working at a coffee house called Anteiku when Tsukiyama (Matsuda Shota), a young man known as a "gourmet Ghoul", shows up. Tsukiyama strongly reacts to the scent of human being still remaining in Kaneki. Viewing him as first-rate meat, Tsukiyama attempts to lure Kaneki to a member's only ghoul restaurant.
