Set in an era when the weather has gone awry, the lush visuals depict a boy and girl who make their own choices in life amidst the vagaries of fate.
First-year high school student Hodaka (voice: Daigo Kotaro) runs away from the remote island where he lives and starts working as a writer for a sketchy occult magazine in Tokyo. Then, he meets a girl named Hina (voice: Mori Nana), who lives in complicated circumstances with her little brother.
