[ Story ]
After three years in prison Muraki meets Saeko at a gambling den to whom he becomes attracted because of her nonchalant air and unconcern over her losses. However, Saeko shows interest in Yo, a part-Chinese killer who is also a drug addict.
While Muraki was in prison, great changes occurred in the underworld; his boss joined forces with his former competitor, Yasuoka, to prevent an invasion by an Osaka gang, to place Muraki in a difficult position as he once killed one of Yasuoka's men.
When the struggle comes to a head, Muraki volunteers to kill the leader of the rival group but before doing so requests a few days to find Saeko. His search is futile. Then Saeko appears suddenly and tells him that she had a trial injection of dope. Muraki is furious and offers to give her a bigger kick -that of watching a man being murdered.
Years later, Muraki learns from a friend that Saeko was murdered by Yo. The accompanying scandal finally reveals her identity...but to Muraki this is no longer important.
