An animated film portraying the link between a man who survived an infectious disease, a physician scrambling to save lives, and people defying a harsh fate. This is the directorial debut of Ando Masashi, an animation director who has worked on your name. among others.
Van went to war to defend his homeland, but is instead enslaved in a salt mine. Strange dogs attack the salt mine resulting in the outbreak of a mysterious disease. Meanwhile, a rumor that only immigrants are contracting the disease is spreading in the kingdom where medical physician, Hossal, desperately searches for the cure.
