The film stars Shishido Jo, one of Nikkatsu's leading action stars, and is directed by the brilliant Suzuki Seijun, who stylishly depicts the struggles of hit men.
Hanada Goro (Shishido), ranked No.3 among professional hitmen, is on his way to escort a senior member of a certain organization at the request of a man named Yabuhara (Tamagawa Isao), when he is attacked by No.2 Sakura, No.4 Koh, and others. Hanada narrowly escapes danger, but the man who delivers him to his destination is the No. 1 assassin, Orui Susumu (Nanbara Koji).
