[ Story ]

Widower, Takumi (Nakamura Shido), lives happily with his six-year-old son, Yuji. One day while taking a walk together in the forest at the beginning of monsoon season, they come across a woman shivering in a clearing after being drenched by the downpour. It turns out to be Mio (Takeuchi Yuko), their wife and mother who died one year earlier, and has somehow been miraculously brought back to life, but has lost all memory. Takumi and Yuji take her in and together they slowly rekindle their family life. Takumi tries to revive Mio's memories by telling her how they met and fell in love, and inevitably fall for each other all over again. However, the truth of Mio's return is revealed when her old diary is found, from which they learn that she is destined to leave them once more when the monsoon season ends six weeks later.
Hit television drama director, Doi Nobuhiro, makes his feature film debut with this poignant, hugely popular love story.
