Winner of the audiovisual media category of the Children's Welfare Culture Awards in 2007, this documentary focuses on the interaction between high schoolers at a crossroads in their lives and elderly people who live in a forested region. It is the second film by director Shibata Shohei, whose Himeyuri won several accolades for its profiles of women who were members of the Himeyuri Students in Okinawa during World War II. Four high school students on the verge of pursuing further education and seeking employment visit four elderly men known as "masters of the forest," and the words of these elders teach them a great deal about work and life.
