Violent action sequel starring Beat Takeshi, directed by Kitano Takeshi. Rough-and-tumble portrayal of a fierce power struggle between east and west yakuza crime syndicates, interweaving police conspiracy. Official selection for competition at the Venice International Film Festival.
Five years have passed since the internal strife within the Sanno, the Tokyo region's biggest crime syndicate. Inducted as the second chairman, Kato (Miura Tomokazu) has extended the group's influence into the political world. The police feel threatened by this state of affairs and release Otomo (BEAT Takeshi), a yakuza gang member thought to have died in prison.
