An adaptation of Funado Yoichi's novella "Natsu no uzu" (the vortex of summer), which had been a longtime dream project for actor Harada Yoshio who passed away in 2011. Set in Shinjuku's Nichome district, it warmly depicts the tragicomic lives of a group of homosexuals. Its director is Take Masaharu, an assistant director on HULA GIRLS who re-teams here with that film's producer Lee Bong-ou and screenwriter Habara Daisuke.
Milo (Yamamoto Taro), manager of Shinjuku show pub EDEN, also spends his busy days directing the pub's stage productions. On his 42nd birthday, one of his friends dies suddenly at his home.
