Drama about a family's transformation after encountering a nuclear accident. Strawberry Fields director Ota Takafumi completed this film over an eighteen-month period, with all of the production expenses covered through donations. Appearance by Yamamoto Taro, the actor-turned-politician who opposes nuclear power.
Shizuoka Prefecture, Kosai City. A beautiful town surrounded by nature. The Hirata family lives in town, and are an ordinary family like you'd find anywhere in Japan. The eldest daughter Akane didn't like the town. Then, a big earthquake happened. The nuclear power plant melts down, and an evacuation is ordered. Things turn out like they did in Fukushima, and Akane's family find themselves swept into a huge whirlpool of sorrow…
