"SPEC" series director Tsutsumi Yukihiko delivers the film adaptation of Inui Kurumi's bestselling novel, which made waves with the surprise ending. Set in the late 1980s, the Tokyo and Shizuoka parts of the story depict a love triangle between two women and a romantically challenged college student.
Dental assistant Mayu and college student Suzuki meet in Shizuoka. Their relationship develops gradually but awkwardly, but then Suzuki gets a job in Tokyo and falls for his sophisticated colleague Miyako.
