Sensual and transgressive mystery about a man whose fixation on a woman transforms into madness, set in an oceanside resort. Directed by Wayne Wang, who won the Silver Bear at the 45th Berlin International Film Festival for Smoke.
Author Shimizu Kenji (Nishijima Hidetoshi), who has been in a slump ever since his first book, visits a countryside resort with his wife. On the first day of their stay, Kenji becomes fascinated by middle-aged Sahara (Beat Takeshi) and the younger Miki (Kutsuna Shiori), who make for bizarre couple, and begins peeping into their room.
