[ Story ]
This drama introduces a fresh interpretation of "Yuki Onna", an episode from Lafcadio Hearn's collection of Japanese ghost stories, "Kwaidan". Sugino Kiki, director of Kyoto Elegy, also directs and stars in this film which was selected to compete in the 29th Tokyo International Film Festival.
On a snowy night deep in the mountains, a hunter, Minokichi (Aoki Munetaka), witnesses a snow woman (Sugino) snatch away the life of his companion, Mosaku, in a hut. She tells him, "Speak of this to anyone and I will take your life," then disappears. A year later, on the way back for the first anniversary of Mosaku's death, Minokichi meets a beguiling woman, Yuki (Sugino).
