[ Story ]

A film adaptation of Shiba Ryotaro's best-selling novel which portrays a new interpretation of "The Battle of Sekigahara," the greatest conflict of the Warring States Period. The Emperor in August director, Harada Masato, helms.
Daimyo Ishida Mitsunari (Okada Junichi) has doubts about the Shogun's self-interest-based rule. Shima Sakon (Hira Takehiro) is a brave general and Hatsume (Arimura Kasumi) an Iga ninja who serve Mitsunari. Meanwhile, the ambitious Tokugawa Ieyasu (Yakusho Koji) persuasively wins over military commanders to his side. On the 21st of October in 1600, Mitsunari will somehow do battle with Ieyasu at Sekigahara.
