Crying Out Love, In The Center Of The World director Yukisada Isao adapts Okazaki Kyoko's master ful manga depicting adolescent desires and anxiety.
Wakakusa Haruna (Nikaido Fumi) is invited to the river bank at night by Yamada (Yoshizawa Ryo) because she had helped him from the bullying of Kannonzaki (Uesugi Shuhei), her boyfriend. There she spots an abandoned "corpse". When Yamada tells her, "When I look at this, it gives me courage," Haruna is at a loss for words. Joining them in sharing the knowledge of the corpse's existence is model, and their junior, Kozue (Sumire). The three begin to be bound by a warped bond different from friendship.
