A love story spun from his own original screenplay by Uchida Eiji, director of Midnight Swan, which won the Best Film Award at the 44th Japan Academy Prize. Hisaishi Joe, who has worked on numerous Studio Ghibli works, composed the music.
Aoi (Yamada Ryosuke), a young man who has stopped speaking and lives a lethargic life, one day meets Mika (Hamabe Minami), a music student who lost her sight in an accident. He is captivated by Mika's refusal to give up on her dream of becoming a pianist despite her despair, and the two gradually develop a close relationship.
