[ Story ]

This piece was officially invited to be shown at the 2008 Tokyo International Film Festival in the natural TIFF program. It is known to be an inspiration for director Luc Besson's masterpiece, Le Grand Bleu. Jacques Mayol was the first man in the world to free dive to 100m. This documentary shows the real, rarely seen face of a man who had many friends in Japan and who encountered dolphins for the first time in Karatsu City, Saga Prefecture, which he visited countless times. TV personality Yuki Maomi, who comes from Saga Prefecture, took on the challenge of narrating for the first time in English. They interview people connected with the town of Karatsu, and traces the footprints of this unusual adventurer of the oceans.
