Documentary about the documentary filmmaker Hayashi Eidai, who has covered Korean forced laborers and wartime tragedies from his base in Chikuho in Fukuoka Prefecture. Directed by Nishijima Shinji, who has been making documentaries about war.
Hayashi has documented numerous "black marks on history" based on his meticulous research interviews. The childhood memory of his own parent's death at the hands of the state during the war taught Hayashi the tragic consequences of opposing governmental authority and spurred him to offer salvation and solace for the souls of the oppressed.
