[ Story ]
This is a dynamic story of five young soldiers from diverse walks of life who are thrown together in the final stages of the lmphal Operation in Burma. It is the vivid account of the fears, rivalries, and hates of ordinary men whose love of self is finally fused into valor and a greater love of their motherland when the going becomes the roughest and they are exposed to almost certain death.
How the five raw soldiers, hardly more than boys, react under fire, and their final success in blowing up a bridge, make this one of the outstanding motion pictures of the year.
