Kojima Junji, a visual creator who has worked on numerous commercials and music videos, directs this family drama questioning what is "family" and "human kindness" through the resolute life of one woman. The film screened at the 34th Warsaw Film Festival's competition section.
Ryoko (Ando Seiko) lives in a provincial city. She passes each day enduring her mother-in-law's obnoxiousness and the physical abuse by her painter husband Tadashi (Tanaka Junya) who creates forgeries after losing his creative impulse. Ryoko has been working at the bar her brother Keito (Kumagaya Taishi) manages to repay debts, until one day Tadashi dies in an accident.
