Live-action adaptation of the popular picture book series written by Itabashi Masahiro with illustrations by Yoshida Hisanori. Warmly depicts the bonds of a wrestler who plays bad guys (known as "heels" in industry parlance) and his family, interspersed with impressive fight scenes. Features the real-life professional wrestler Tanahashi Hiroshi, along with numerous appearances from his colleagues in the wrestling world.
Pro-wrestler Takashi (Tanahashi) was once a star, but got switched over to playing a masked villain because of injuries and age. He goes into the ring as the Cockroach Mask. However, his 9-year-old son Shota (Terada Kokoro) is shocked when he finds out that the father he adores is a heel.
