A story taken from the fifth volume of Shimizu Akane's manga set within the human body, 'Cells at Work', is turned into this theatrically released advanced screening version leading up to the broadcast of the television series' second season.
White Blood Cell Neutrophil (voice: Maeno Tomoaki) and Red Blood Cell (voice: Hanazawa Kana) meet Ordinary Cell (voice: Kobayashi Yusuke) who safeguards lost lactic-acid bacilli. White Blood Cell and Ordinary Cell head for the intestines in order to escort the lactic-acid bacilli back to its companions. But waiting for them is an unwanted reencounter with a formidable adversary.
