Sato Mao, known as "Investigator Mao", and his wife who is showing signs of dementia, are the subjects of this documentary which chronicles their daily life. In the director's chair is Imai Iori, an Osaka-based filmmaker who works both in television and film.
Mao put himself at the frontline of the few investigations, projects, and plan implementations in post-war Japan at the cost of nearly ruining his family. Beginning a self-contained life in Osaka, he tries to give his time to his family. Before long, he becomes closer to his wife who has developed dementia. The film is a warmly framed record of Mao's words and conduct.
