Documentary woven together as the universal story of father and son, focusing on the ethnic Chinese Koreans who live outside the Korean Peninsula.
A boy who was born in the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture in China moves to Japan at age 10. Now age 20, he wants to examine his past and resolves to look for his father, who was an artist. The father he finally meets with help from an uncle is an undocumented alien in Korea who works as a day laborer while being pestered by debt collectors. The son gets fed up with his father's behavior.
