The Foreign Duck, the Native Duck and God in a Coin Locker director Nakamura Yoshihiro helms this film adaptation of Tsutsui Testuya's same-titled manga, which has also been adapted for TV. The director brings a personal touch to the battle of wills between a mysterious cyber terrorism group hiding behind hoods made of newspaper and an elite female detective.
A mysterious man (Ikuta Toma) appears suddenly online. He uses the name "shinbunshi," or newspaper, and predicts the penalties dealt out to unpunished criminals and people making thoughtlessly inflammatory remarks online. He repeats his illegal acts as if to ridicule detective Yoshino's (Toda Erika) investigation.
