[ Story ]
Ensemble production about commoners living through the chaos of the post-war crash and Great Kanto Earthquake as they search for meaning in their lives. Directed by the brilliant Zeze Takahisa of Heaven's Story.
The story takes place in the outskirts of Tokyo in the aftermath of the Great Kanto Earthquake. Overflowing with orphans and refugees from the disaster, the district gets a visit from the female sumo group Tamaiwa Entertainment. The freewheeling anarchist group Guillotine Company set up an underground cell to hatch a terrorist plot in this neighborhood primed for political agitation, but they fall under the spell of the female sumo wrestlers and become their buddies.
