[ Story ]
A drama based on the memoirs of Japanese Red Cross nurses who provided medical care to atomic bomb survivors in Nagasaki immediately after the bombing. The director is Matsumoto Jumpei of Wheels and Axle fame, who is from Nagasaki and a third-generation atomic bomb survivor.
In 1945, nursing students Tanaka Sumi (Kikuchi Hinako), Ohno Atsuko (Ono Karin), and Iwanaga Misao (Kawatoko Asuka) return to their hometown of Nagasaki, spending peaceful times with family and friends. However, at 11:02 a.m. on 9 August, the atomic bomb was dropped. In an instant, the city is reduced to ruins, and despite their inexperience, the three rush to provide medical care to the injured.
