[ Story ]
Former boxer Iwano (Ikeuchi Hiroyuki), teamed up with Sada (Imawano Kiyoshiro) and Maru (Matsuo Suzuki), who live in the same apartment building, makes his daily living as a punching bag for drunken businessmen in some corner of the amusement quarters. The three have continuously avoided putting themselves in a situation that could tie them down, especially Iwano, who is totally clueless about what he wants to do with his life. One day, they receive notice that their apartment building will be torn down. As a compensation for the eviction, their remaining rent is considered as settled. Having lost their place to live, the three each try to find their way. Sada prepares to set out on the carefree journey he always dreamed of, and Maru finds a decent job in spite of his bungling. Iwano, on the other hand, can't manage even the slightest progress. Then, through some small woman trouble, Iwano gradually starts to open up a way for himself.
After being, among other things, assistant director for Kitano Takeshi, Shimizu Hiroshi received the Special Ecumenical Prize at the Locarno Film Festival for his debut film, Ikinai. This is his second film.
