The second theatrical version in the "Pokémon Diamond & Pearl" series which has been broadcasted on TV since 2006. Directed by Yuyama Kunihiko who has undertaken all the theatrical versions in the Pokémon series, the box office sales in Japan have recorded 4.8 billion yen.
The battle between Dialga and Palkia, Pokémon described as deities, causes the Reverse World to be covered by "black clouds". Angered by this, Giratina, the master of the Reverse World, finds Dialga and tries to drag it into the Reverse World. Caught up in this battle, Shaymin, a Gratitude Pokémon, releases Seed Flare, blocking Giratina from entering the World of Reality. Meanwhile, Shaymin gets blown away to the World of Reality and meets Satoshi and Pikachu. Together they head for the Gracidea flower field where Shaymin's friends are said to be waiting. However, they are dragged into the Reverse World confronted by Zero, a former apprentice to Mugen, the Reverse World researcher. Zero plans to conquer the world by obtaining Giratina's ability using Shaymin to capture Giratina. The process was prevented in a nick of time and by cooperating with Giratina, Satoshi and his friends manage to defeat Zero. Later, Shaymin reunites with its friends and bids farewell to Satoshi and his members for the Flower Bearing.
