[ Story ]
In the early morning mist, ambitious classical Japanese dancer, Shiori (Makise Riho), plunges from a high-rise building wearing the costume of Kabuki character Musume Dojoji, whose doomed love for a priest caused her to transform into a snake demon. Her twin, modern dancer Haruka (Makise), suspects foul play and asks Shiori's master, Tomitaro (Kabuki star Nakamura Fukusuke), to teach her the Musume Dojoji dance. As Haruka throws herself into her studies, she finds herself becoming attracted to her teacher and wonders if her sister had developed the same feelings for him. As an onnagata, an actor who specializes in playing women in Kabuki theater, Tomitaro is consequently unable to pursue relations with the opposite sex. Haruka persistently questions him about her sister's suicide and eventually learns that he has decided to make his next show his last. After giving a perfect performance, Tomitaro disappears without a trace. Haruka becomes distraught and heads for the rooftop as if to follow after her sister, but the presumed-dead Tomitaro returns just in time and the lovers embrace.
A modern update of the famous Kabuki play, directed by Takayama Yukiko (After the Wind Has Gone).
