Following on from The Foreign Duck, the Native Duck and God in a Coin Locker (Ahiru to Kamo no Coin Locker) and Fish Story by popular mystery writer Isaka Kotaro, director Nakamura Yoshihiro has risen to the challenge of adapting a third work by the same author to film, this time from a fugitive novel of the same title. Comedic elements have been incorporated into this thrilling account of the escape of a man accused of assassinating the Prime Minister. Immediately after meeting an old friend who warns him to escape, Aoyagi (Sakai Masato) comes under suspicion for the assassination of the Prime Minister during a parade, and is fired at by the police. Aoyagi is unable to grasp the situation but flees, and is taken aback at the succession of reports of evidence uncovered that link him to a crime he knows nothing about.
