[ Story ]

A coming-of-age love story based on the comic series of the same title by Asano Inio. Music is used as the backdrop for this subtle portrayal of youth, angst, and uncertainty about the future. Music video director Miki Takahiro makes his feature film debut. During her second year of work, Meiko (Miyazaki Aoi) decides one day to turn in her resignation to support her boyfriend Taneda's (Kora Kengo) music career. He writes a new song called "solanin" but trying to sell it to a record company is not easy.
