[ Story ]
This is the second feature length film by 'butoh' dancer Iwana Masaki, who both directed and wrote the screenplay. Iwana previously won the Best Film award at the Portobello Film Festival for Vermilion Souls (Shurei tachi). The story is a psychological drama about sexuality and madness centered on artists that remind Iwana of himself. Shot in monochrome and 16mm, the stage for the story is South Normandy, France. Akiko (Yoshioka Yumiko) is the wife of a Japanese dancer Kamimura (Iwana Masaki) and she visits him at his home where he lives with his girlfriend Yuzuko (Wakamatsu Moeno). In this house in the middle of the peaceful countryside, the relationship between the three people quietly begins to descend into madness...
