[ Story ]

A dark fantasy that took outrageously gifted art animation auteur Kurosaka Keita over ten years to complete. Five scientists attempt to develop the perfect hybrid food, a blend of meat and vegetable, as a measure to combat food shortages. Miraculously, an amazing edible creature called "Midori-ko"is created. However, it refuses to be eaten and escapes from the laboratory. It is later discovered that university researcher Midori is raising Midori-ko in her apartment. A battle to gain possession of the creature breaks out, involving the ravenous residents of Midori's building. The film's hand-drawn art, produced by Kurosaka alone using colored pencils, has a strikingly unique visual touch and sense of color.
