Anti-war documentary introducing the Museum of Silence (Mugonkan) in Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture, a museum commemorating art students who died at war. Directed by veteran documentary filmmaker Miyaki Tatsuo under the supervision of museum head Kuboshima Seiichiro. Art students who tragically lost their lives on the battlefield. Kuboshima brings together their canvases, sketchbooks and other mementos and travels the country. And every August a commemorative ceremony is held at the museum with a prayer for "one thousand paintbrushes."
