An adaptation of Iwasaki Natsumi's bestselling coming-of-age novel with a novel concept: a high school girl inspired by the legendary Peter F. Drucker's "Management: Tasks, Responsibilities, Practices" uses management theory to improve the fortunes of her school's feeble baseball team. Kawashima Minami (Maeda Atsuko), a second year student at a Tokyo high school, is appointed as the manager of the baseball team in place of her friend who has taken ill. However, the team's ace player Asano Keiichiro (Seto Koji) and the other members begin skipping practice and fooling around, which leads the exasperated Minami to search for a book that will teach her the basics of management.
