Documentary depicting daily life at Derato, an assisted living facility for severely mentally and physically handicapped children in Shizuoka Prefecture's Fujinomiya City. The parents of the disabled children were brought together by Ozawa Eiko, who also serves as a city council member, and they established the facility with the idea of creating a society where individuals and their families can live normally, regardless of the severity of their disability. The film depicts the special needs children at the facility as they interact with others and learn to socialize, and the parents as they reach out to the local government.
