Documentary film about a high school teacher struggling with gender identity disorder. Graduation work at the Japan Institute of the Moving Image and recipient of the Imamura Shohei Award, which goes to the best director each year at the school. After graduation director Umezawa Kei re-edited the film, which went on to theatrical release. Doi Itsuki, a teacher at a public high school in Kyoto, yearns to have a female body. After struggling with mind-body balance and vacillating between being male and female, Doi sets off for the gender change operation he has long dreamed of having.
