Unique horror film with an unprecedented take on the terror of the "slit-mouthed woman," an urban legend that was all the rage in the 1970s and has been repeatedly made into films. In special split-mouth make-up, former idol group SDN48 member Oohori Megumi gives an impassioned performance as the heroine.
Ethnology graduate student Airi (Oohori) invites three friends to come along for a visit to Mitsumata village. Airi and her friends are delighted to learn that a festival is about to be held. But, the festival turns out to be a ceremony to offer a sacrifice to the split-mouthed woman worshipped as a living god.
